For use in certain production technologies, the robot can be equipped with an energy supply system between the base frame and the arm. An energy supply system consists of a dress package for transmitting the energy, fluids and signals typical of the technological process concerned, and the “fastening materials” assembly required for attaching it to the robot. The energy supply system A1 - A5 is installed between the interface on the base frame and the interface on the swing frame and contains the application-specific dress package with its two-part flexible tube. The supply lines of the dress package are routed through the center of the gear unit of axis 1. They are fixed in place by means of a clamping piece and cable stars in the base frame, rotating column, link arm and swing frame. The dress package is routed from the rotating column via the link arm to the arm and from here to interface A5 on the swivel housing (wrist). The supply lines are routed onward from interface A5 directly to the tool.
